The Scallop team continued to work hard in February and took another step closer to the Scallop App launch. ur focus is fully on the app launch and we are taking much care to ensure users will have a smooth experience across all aspects of the application.
This month we onboarded a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Soren Stammers, who brings over 40+ years of experience in global investment, corporate and retail banking, and cryptography, who will help guide the success of the app launch.
New Chief Technology Officer (CTO): Soren Stammers
We have a new Chief of Technology Officer at Scallop. We are happy to welcome Soren Stammers onboard, who will help Scallop accelerate the global transition into digital money.
Soren has over 40 years of professional experience in global investment, corporate and retail banking and cryptography. His specialisation is in digital transformation through canonicalisation.
Technology Update
1. We are ensuring the user onboarding process more securely by using our KYC verification with (AML, PEPs and sanctions, Data-extraction, Face Match, POA, Liveness checking, Profile Checking) these flows.
2. We achieved user account creation within minutes.
3. Account creation in EUR for individual users has been accomplished.
4. Integrated Sentry for crash analytics documentation.
5. We are using advanced technologies at the backend to manage Databases.
Brand Ambassador Program
This month, Scallop introduced its global Brand Ambassador Programme. Scallop ambassadors will be responsible for representing our brand, increasing awareness and expanding the projects to new audiences. The ambassadors will represent scallop both online and offline across the world, on social media, blogs and at physical in-person events.
We had an overwhelming response, receiving over 1000 very talented applicants in just one week. After an extremely difficult shortlisting process, we successfully onboard our first 10 Scallop Brand Ambassadors.
Community
This month enjoyed continuous support across our main social media platforms.
Our Twitter account grew by 1800+ followers. The Telegram community grew by 700+ members. And our recently established Instagram account grew by 1100+ followers.
We thank all of our followers who supported us in this journey, it motivates us to achieve more.
Giveaways
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, we hosted a Chinese New Year “Red Envelope” Giveaway which had more than 7000 participants. 20 lucky winners were chosen at random to share a prize pool of 1000 SCLP tokens!
