The Scallop team started the new year with great enthusiasm and focus on our mission. In January we reached important milestones in our roadmap, e.g. partnering with MultiChain to facilitate the cross-chain swap of the SCLP token, and we also made wonderful progress in our mission to expand the business globally, as we gained a Money Service Business (MSB) license from FINTRAC ā which will allow Scallop to service Canadaās 37.000.000 citizens.
Additionally, the Scallop team reached a significant milestone in the development of Scallop Chain ā the first regulated blockchain; V1 of the test net has successfully been completed!
Scallop also entered the sporting world by becoming the Primary Partner of Premier League football club Norwich City F.C, which will enhance Scallopās exposure to the 4+ billion Premier League viewers.

Scallop acquired a prestigious Money Services Business (MSB) license from Canadaās Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC). This will allow us to operate our business and launch the Scallop App in Canada. It is a great stepping stone in our mission to make Scallop accessible to as many people across the world.
The MSB license highlights Scallopās aim to work in concert with regulators worldwide and maintain a strong perception of trust, as we provide a safe ecosystem for users to store, trade and manage their banking and crypto services.
Scallop became the Official DeFi partner of Premier League football club Norwich City F.C, for the remainder of the 2021/22 season. Scallop and Norwich share a mutual principle to inspire the next generation of young fans. This partnership will aid Scallop to gain worldwide exposure to the 4+ billion Premier League viewers, in 190 countries and educate young people around the world about DeFi.
Scallop partnered with MultiChain! This will allow token holders to swap the SCLP token between multiple blockchains on the MultiChain platform.
Weāve successfully launched our global Scallop Ambassador Program. This will enable Scallop to work collaboratively with the ambassadors from the community who will actively contribute to delivering Scallopās mission. This month, we completed the Scallop āDouble-Upā Christmas Giveaway in which we doubled the amount of SCLP bought on PancakeSwap for 5 lucky winners.
We also hosted a ā#10 Shirt Competitionā in collaboration with Norwich City F.C. Tying in with Scallopās ten āXā products, we asked our followers who is their favourite past or present footballer to wear the famous #10 shirt. One lucky winner has been sent the gift.
As a thank you to those who have staked their SCLP for 4 years, weāve reopened the form to receive a free āI Staked SCLP for lifeā tā-shirt. As of the end of the month, 4 year stakers now make up more than 60% of all staking!
